UMA is a multi-brand apparel and accessories store centred on pieces with a sense of arrival.
Having bonded over fashion's ability to soothe and self-actualise, founders Hannah Borg and Amy Ayrton set out on a mission to redefine occasionwear. Their curation is one filled with optimism and ineffable appeal; in keeping with their belief that fashion should be a space that’s both welcoming and celebratory.
Featuring Australian and international designers bound by expressions of joy and individualism, UMA presents a lineup of garments for feeling great, because you're the main event, baby!
Our Impact
Minimising our impact is a core consideration for our internal business practice and external brand partnerships. We understand that change starts with accountability and commitment to transparency in our journey towards becoming zero impact.
Designer Partnerships
UMA Store proudly partners with brands that lead with integrity - creating quality and thoughtfully designed pieces to be cherished season after season. Transeasonality, quality and longevity are always the heart of all of our partners' design ethos, choosing to move beyond a fast fashion cycle into a smart, conscious yet joyful way of engaging with fashion consumption
The Fashion Impact
UMA Store’s brand partners work continuously and creatively within their own textile practices to reduce environmental impact. From natural fibres and deadstock fabric to recycled textiles and materials transparency, UMA’s brand partners are actively contributing to a more circular and sustainable industry at every step of their practice
Packaging and Shipping
All UMA products will be shipped out to you in an eco-friendly alternative to a bubble mailer, using 100% kerbside recyclable packaging. We are working towards carbon offset shipping, launching soon
Operating on Stolen Land
UMA Store acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to land, waters and community, We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land in which we live, work and operate on, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and future. We share the belief that saying sorry isn’t enough with the organisation Pay The Rent with a financial contribution made monthly.
